We (the Pattisons) moved here exactly one week ago! Its been an interesting week.

We are settled now, but not without a bit of culture shock. We got pretty sick just two days into being here and then we dealt with a massive infestation of insects in our home. This, of course, is on top of the heat and mosquitoes.

However, that being said, we are doing very well.

Being in here for even just a week makes us realize how blessed we are. It’s hard to complain about your power going out when you look outside and you see people living under a tarp. God has really entrusted us with a lot and we have been challenged in how we are using those resources (such as money, time, saving knowledge of Christ, etc). We count ourselves blessed to be able to serve here and look forward to what God is going to do. Not to mention it has been great to reconnect with Jared and Amber

We are enjoying our time spent at Grace Home and are hoping to make a lasting, positive impact on the girls. They are precious and we love our time with them. We also had a chance to meet the slum kids that Jared and Amber have been ministering to. Their need is great and we are praying how to best serve them. For more information about both of these ministries, or to see pictures, check out some of the past blogs.

Here are a couple pictures of Israel playing with two of the girls from Grace Home:

Jared and Amber have done an amazing job here and we look forward to taking some of what they have learned with us to Africa.

And speaking of Africa, please continue to pray for wisdom and open doors.

We are working out many details right now and there is a lot to be done.  If you have not committed yet, please consider supporting Project Africa and/or Asia through your prayer and giving.

To learn specific prayer needs, please continue reading this blog and checking out our official web site: www.ttionline.org. To give, please go to the web site and click the donate link. 100% of your giving goes directly to the training of church planters in Africa/Asia and to the other ministries of The Timothy Initiative.

Thank you for your prayers and support. God is moving!

Philip
