Making Disciples Who Make Disciples
For a long time, Mariamu had lived a life of torment. She and her family lived in fear an agony because of frequent attacks by evil spirits. Mariamu struggled with carrying a pregnancy to term. For her, pregnancy was always a bittersweet experience. Just as she was getting excited about having a baby, she would begin having severe stomach pains, followed by splitting headaches, swollen feet, and a constant lack of peace, which resulted in a miscarriage.
Because of this, she was constantly in and out of marriage (Marimu was divorced several times because she was unable to have children). When a pregnancy occurred, what had begun as a beautiful and happy union came to a screechin halt. All her physical and emotional pain caused her such anguish that she desperately sought help from local witch doctors. Despite Mariamu and her parents spending every penny they had nothing seemed to change for her.
It was not until she met Meshaki, a TTI Church Planter, that she learned about free healing and complete restoration found in Christ. She could not believe it, knowing how much she had spent over the years with no results. She decided to give her life to Christ that day. She did not hesitate to lay all her burdens at Jesus’ feet, and as a result, she received peace she had never known before.
Her life has never been the same since she made the decision to follow Christ. She is now fully recovered and healthy. She believes that God will provide her with a husband and enable her pregnancies to be carried to term. She is hopeful, and she serves faithfully at her new church. Mariamu keeps praying that her parents will give their lives to Christ.
