As you know, The Timothy Initiative’s “Project Africa” officially kicks off in early 2010, however, the planning and coordination has already begun. I am currently on a flight home from Southern Africa where we held training and planning sessions with 10 or so of our key leaders from several African nations (Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, etc…).

We also took 10 days and visited the different ministries of our national directors in Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique.

I am returning home amazed and humbled by the men that we have the privilege to partner with. We will be sharing some of the incredible testimonies of these leaders on the blog and the website soon, so check back.

For the record, although we don’t officially kick off our major African endeavors until early next year, we are already training around  400-500 pastors/church planters in 6 nations. Over these last couple of weeks we attended 2 graduations in Zambia and had the opportunity to teach and encourage some of our current students in Malawi and Mozambique.
On a separate note, Jessica and I (and our son-Israel) will be moving this coming Monday (May 11th)! We will be spending 6 months or so helping Jared and Amber in any way that we can with Project Asia and the other ministries of The Timothy Initiative.

Then, in early 2010 we will be moving to Lusaka, Zambia to oversee TTI-Africa. We are very excited to take this next step, but also very sad to say goodbye to our family at Grace Fellowship.

Here are some pictures of my time in Africa.

Please continue to pray for wisdom and direction as we prepare for TTI’s major push into Africa.
